The African Brands Congress (ABC) will bring together business executives, marketing professionals, technology experts, policymakers and brand owners to examine how artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping branding, marketing and business competitiveness.
The 2026 edition, themed “The Future of Brands in the Era of Artificial Intelligence,” is scheduled for Monday, November 30, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ballroom of Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
In a statement, the organisers said the congress will explore how African businesses can leverage AI to improve consumer engagement, understand market trends, personalise marketing and enhance customer experiences while preserving brand authenticity and cultural identity.
As AI transforms how consumers discover products and interact with businesses, organisations face increasing pressure to adopt emerging technologies without undermining public trust, creativity and cultural relevance.
According to the organisers, discussions will address both the opportunities and challenges of AI adoption, including data privacy, intellectual property, algorithmic bias and misinformation.
The programme will feature plenary sessions, panel discussions, masterclasses, exhibitions and networking opportunities designed to encourage knowledge sharing and business collaboration.
Key discussion areas will include AI-powered consumer insights, generative AI and content creation, automation and customer experience, digital trust, intellectual property and brand governance, as well as strategies for building AI-ready organisations.
Participants will examine how predictive analytics can improve consumer intelligence, how generative AI is transforming advertising and creative production, and how automation can strengthen customer service while maintaining meaningful human connections.
The event is expected to attract participants from sectors including financial services, telecommunications, technology, fast-moving consumer goods, fashion, media, entertainment, agriculture, retail, hospitality, tourism, education and the public sector.
Beyond knowledge sharing, the congress aims to connect brand owners, advertising agencies, technology providers, investors and policymakers to promote partnerships and investment across Africa’s brand economy.
The organisers also plan to recognise outstanding African brands and industry innovators through awards and provide an exhibition platform for businesses to showcase their products and innovations.
The 2026 edition will focus on how businesses can harness AI to compete globally while maintaining the identity, credibility and consumer trust that distinguish African brands.
