APM inaugurates campaign council – Daily Trust

The Allied Peoples Movement, APM has inaugurated its National Campaign Management Committee (NCMC) for the 2027 presidential election, with a charge on Nigerians to vote for Governor Seyi Makinde to Reset Nigeria.

Addressing party leaders, members of the committee and supporters in Abuja on Tuesday,

Felix Hassan Hyat Director-General of the NCMC and former aviation minister said Nigerians should strive to change the present administration, and added that nobody will do it without the corporation of the people.

He said while it is imperative that the South should complete its eight years, it has become paramount for the people to vote for what he called “a good product from the south West.”

He explained that the South West is already having its first four years as president, adding that young, educated and enterprising people are waiting. “The leaders of these region hold Nigeria a duty to advise, and the young people hold themselves a responsibility to implement a good advice and reject a bad advice.

“We are crying today, the President is from South West. Is the South west not crying? So, we have a wrong product from there, that will have to change. And we have to replaced him with a good product, Seyi Makinde from the South West.”   He went further to say that the responsibility of removing the present administration is not only for the campaign management committee, “it’s not the responsibility of only the APM, but the responsibility of Nigerians to serve themselves. I therefore call on the young people in particular, you have to think, you have a future. You are the one to protect it.

“Nobody is going to protect it for you. Because they are already showing that they will not protect it for you. If you follow it, either based on religion, or tribal sentiments, or regional things, it is you who is going to cry tomorrow”, Hyat warned.

Also speaking, the Vice Presidential candidate of the APM, Lawal Daura said the party will not tolerate rigging in the coming election, saying that “for those who really want to rig, that they can pull a fast one, well, they have a surprise coming.”

According to Daura, a lot of politicians are thinking that there is a way to get votes other than canvassing for them, “those who may think there is a shortcut.

“Well, this time around, the struggle is for real. We are not going to let them escape with it. We must make sure that everything is done in accordance with the law and the Electoral Act.”
