Nigeria and China have formally cemented a 200 million RMB (approximately N41bn) grant agreement designed to fund high-impact, direct-benefit community projects across Nigeria.
The bilateral agreement was officially signed in Abuja on Thursday by Nigeria’s Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, and the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Yu Dunhai.
The grant fulfils key outcomes of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit and recent bilateral agreements between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and President Xi Jinping.
