Nigeria has called on African leaders to urgently intervene and halt brewing military conflicts across the continent, warning that sustained economic growth will remain out of reach without regional stability.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu made the call in a message delivered by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, during the NEPAD Founding Member States’ Summit held in Alamein, Egypt, over the weekend.
The high-level gathering, hosted by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, marked the 25th anniversary of the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD).
